RE: [RC] Very Virtual Endurance - John Teeter - Ginger Bill
Since VV is unreal, which we all know, why do we have to do the GPS thing if we already know the miles we are doing? If a person is cheating on the miles they are cheating no-one but themselves. I don't know, maybe someone can clue me in. Ginger

To the best of my understanding, VV rides are totally unreal. LOL
Originally, I was under the impression that this VV "program" was under the umbrella of the AERC and I was thinking that it would take riders away from actual AERC rides. Apparently, the numbers of participating riders are falling as it is and I've heard RM's express concern about this. I don't think VV would help in that respect but I do understand where you're coming from as well.
One of us is missing the point.
I thought the VV rides were a way to "go to a ride" when in fact you're just doing your regular conditioning rides. Pile up the conditioning mileage you have to do anyway and "enter" those miles in the VV ride. I didn't think the VV rides had anything to do with "real" Endurance rides with points and BCs and AERC awards lists.
