Re: [RC] Very Virtual Endurance - John Teeter - Maryanne Gabbani

Why does it have to benefit AERC? It benefits us enormously. The only chance I ever get to ride "with" any of my friends on Ridecamp is a VV ride...or if someone is taking a trip to Egypt, which oddly enough has happened quite a few times. I tried joining AERC many years ago and found that I still couldn't get Endurance News, which was the only benefit to me from joining, so I gave up on that. Besides, I was the only member of the Middle East group...now I guess there'd be Maggie Mieske and me so we'd have two.? LOL

I think this is a fascinating idea and I'm very intrigued by it because
I don't like traveling so much either. ?But, my question is, how does
this benefit AERC? ?Or, won't this take away from the organization
itself in some ways?

This was one of the reasons I started the VVRides. I don't like to get
in the trailer and drive 8 hours to a ride. Going to a multi-day makes
it easier, as you still have to drive 8 hours, but at least you get to
ride more than one day b/f you have to drive back....
