wow - wouldn't this result in a constantly changing division system? I for one would not want to be in charge of THIS. Can anyone explain to me the overall benefit of having the same number of riders in each group? In all of the organizations I have been a part of in my life, this was never a criteria or goal of having divisions. I really am curious as to why this would be desirable.

Well, the key word is "about." I don't think anyone wants to see the boundaries "fine-tuned" every year. But our present boundaries are quite lopsided, with our smallest division having fewer than half as many riders as our biggest division. Many AERC rides have only one or two riders in our smallest division -- it's easy to be First Place if you're the only one.

The results of the survey were not what I expected. I had hoped that we would have at least had support for having fewer divisions, but that is not the case. At least now we have more than just feelings and speculation to go on.

A big Thank You to Mike for putting this together.
