The problem with unequal distributions is that some divisions are much larger than others.

For all AERC members - FW and MW are about equal. LW has about 70% more members than HW which is the smallest. LW is about 25% larger than FW/MW.

But given that 70% plus of our members are female - more LWs than HWs is not unexpected.

Competing in some regions for the LW division awards is difficult. The W region LW division is larger than the total number of members in the SW region for example.

wow - wouldn't this result in a constantly changing division system? I for one would not want to be in charge of THIS. Can anyone explain to me the overall benefit of having the same number of riders in each group? In all of the organizations I have been a part of in my life, this was never a criteria or goal of having divisions. I really am curious as to why this would be desirable.
