. So many times I see people limit themselves to a certain height when they could be missing out on some really nice horses that are just a little shorter.



For some of us, an appreciation of shorter horses comes with aging. I used to have 16h requirement for any horse I rode. Now, I'm riding a 14.3 hand TWH and a 13.3 h Icelandic. Do you know, that 13.2 h mare feels plenty big enough. I am still a little surprised, however, when I dismount and my feet hit the ground so quickly.
