Re: [RC] Spanish Mustangs - Laney Humphrey

It never hurts to do a little research before flaming people. Do you know anything about Kim Kingsley and his breeding program?

You are certainly not going to get flamed by THIS rider! It drives me nuts to think
these horses will go to auction because someone had "grandiose" ideas in a breeding program.

We bought a DR Thunder Bask dtr last year after she went through an auction at age 3 for $650.00!!! That is less than the stud fee was for this filly! Good thing we found out about this girl, because the western folks there sure didn't bid on her. She is big, beautiful, half QTR and will be a perfect mount for my 240 lb soon to be hubby.

What are folks thinking????

I know I am going to get flamed BIG TIME for this but......
After visiting the website address below, I find the following
horses listed: nearly 100 mares, 21 Stallions, 24 babies born in
2007, and 45 horses listed on the "For Sale" page .....
And now "excess" horses are being taken to auction where a high
percentage will probably go to slaughter....unless something
wonderful happens.
This just does not make sense to me........ why continue making so
many beautiful creatures that have to be sacrificed when times get
What part of "controlling the breeding" failed to occur to someone

Today my friend called with the news that he has lost some very
important summer pastures-due to the death of a dear friend.

He feels he needs to take several of his Reg. Spanish Mustang
yearling & 2 yr. old geldings to the local auction barn and he
is just sick with that thought.

These horses have many direct bloodlines to several of the
Mustangs that raced in AERC –one stallion a Jim Jones recipient!

Please log on to his web site to see for yourself the impressive
records on these horses-He will sell these gelding for the
        bottom price.

          www.horseheadranch.com <http://www.horseheadranch.com/> use
the contact information and talk with Kim or Mike.

Thank you.

Or you may email me direct for some of the basic costs.
