Amber's right.

I am not an expert on either breed, but I do own both a pacing Standardbred
and two Icelandics.

In the hard pace of the track Standardbred, the two feet on the same side
strike the ground at the exact same time.  I have never ridden a flying
pace, but from what I have read, although it is definitely a lateral gait
and the legs on one side of the horse are moving forward in syc,  the feet
do not actually strike at exactly the same moment - I'm open to correction
on that.
