It is a lazy gait for the horse and one I have yet to see any horse get out of. Also the pace is not an acceptable gait for any gaited horse.

Not true, The Icelandic has the 5-gaited horses which have the Flying Pace. They are not supposed to travel in a regular pace while riding though. If a horse starts traveling in pace, it seems to hard-wire into their brains and near impossible to get rid of.
