[RC] bitless bridle - tracey smith

I borrowed one last summer from a friend that had one as I was considering one and I don't think either myself or my horse were impressed.

I had the same concern about the tightness of the noseband restricting their ability to eat and drink and my mare did seem to object to the chin pressure...and she does not object to a curb chain on a normal bit so I know this "bugged her".

I also found I lacked some of the fine lateral control you have with a snaffle bit.  My mare IS NOT always easy to rate and the bridle was not really a problem in that area although I admit to being VERY NERVOUS asking for a canter in it the first time (visions of runaway frieght trains danced in my head) but speed control was not an issue.

I was just overall NOT convinced I needed to spend $80 or 90 on one...so I stuck with what I'd been using.
