Re: [RC] Freeform saddle --- weight - Chris Paus

I've switched to the Littlejoe Bareback saddle. It's more than a bareback pad, but less than a traditional saddle. Used with a skito or other shock absorbing pad, it works great and if it gets wet, you won't have heart failure.

A good friend of mine spent more than $2,000 for an Ansur treeless. Then she bought a Littlejoe and the Ansur sits in the tack room. She said with the skito pad, they ride the same.

My horses are much happier now.

I don't use a crupper or breast plate even on steep hills. It stays put! If I do use a breast plate, it's only to have someplace to hang my HRM.

I've added a few modifications for distance riding, but so far, this is the best thing I've found. And I've tried 16 saddles plus the LJ on my gelding.

Very nice looking saddle, thank you.  I like the very close contact, which I don't get with Western or Australian saddles. The rig I selected would fall just shy of 2200.00, but that's with every option, not just the saddle itself.  Not a bad price for a full kit.

How much does the saddle weigh?  I can write the company, for sure, but thought I'd get your thoughts.

Appreciatively,

Look at the Freeform to satisfy both needs.   I highly recommend buying from Chris Martin (www.freeformusa.com) as his customer service, guarantee and trial program are far superior to other vendors.
