Joe Long was in the east and so was Jerilyn Gray and Nina Warren and they all did pretty well.........It actually favors the people with the most dedication to go week after week and sometimes not leave until after work on Friday and drive to the ride. Many times we picked Becky up at 6:00 p.m. from the bank and drove to the ride. It takes a huge amount of sacrafice and determination to do this.....

I think trailer races bias the competition in favor of the western area riders and against east coast riders. There are many west, NW, and PS rides available and many multiday rides that members from those regions can attend w/o a huge expenditure in time and especially today - fuel. Going back to the "trailer races" as the method would place riders outside of those regions at a disadvantage. While it's not a requirement that a level playing field exist and life isn't always fair - it's my comment on the trailer race vs what we have now.
