[RC] Trailer Races - Michael Maul

In response to:"True, although the so-called "trailer race" season-points system we had up until the mid-1980's has IMO done the best job, with the widest consensus among the members, to date."

I think trailer races bias the competition in favor of the western area riders and against east coast riders.

There are many west, NW, and PS rides available and many multiday rides that members from those regions can attend w/o a huge expenditure in time and especially today - fuel.

Going back to the "trailer races" as the method would place riders outside of those regions at a disadvantage.

While it's not a requirement that a level playing field exist and life isn't always fair - it's my comment on the trailer race vs what we have now.

Mike
