Hey Jody, welcome to the club. Texas started it's
drought and hay shortage last year. You are lucky you got one cutting. we did
not get any out of our coastal Bermuda, and now it is almost dirt. Friends who
have small cattle herds are having to sell. As I said in a previous note.
I'd not brag too much about how you have such wonderful hay and low prices, as
this weather pattern could shift and you could be next.
Thank goodness I only have 5 to feed, and 58 total
acres.
