[RC] re: ride times - Cindy CollinsAnd I am all in favor of at least 2 or more vet checks for most rides. Dot And I am in favor of the AERC never making hard and fast rules about the number/length of vet checks. One thing not discussed in this thread is that most multiday riders (not all, of course) are very experienced riders. If there are newer riders, the experienced ones at multidays, usually will take them under their wings. It's much more of a family atmosphere. These are riders who do not need the AERC or anyone else telling them how many vet checks to have, etc. I know that Dot was saying for "most" rides and I don't disagree, but I am truly scared of some arbitrary rule being imposed that will shut down a number of rides without cause.
