well, I probably am a little bit mentally warped. Lots of rides I do don't have anything for the horses to eat on the trail, so I can't use that as an excuse that it takes more time doing that than it does going in and out of the checks. If there is food, and they want to grab it as we go, they usually do regardless of the type or distance of ride it is.
