Re: [RC] [RC] saddle pads/blankets - Sisu West Ranch

"...Does anyone out there use a plain
navajo blanket for distance riding? I'm a little
worried about the wrinkles/creases it seems they can
get in them..."

We have used them under our OF for many years with no problem. On some horses a piece of antislip drawer liner between blanket and saddle does help.

I did have a bunching incident once. I had not stripped tack at a cold rainy vet check, and did not find the bunch. We had sore back and I almost did not complete. I took the moral to be to always strip tack. I still do. I get some strange looks here in the West where tack stripping is not the rule, but that is life.
