Re: [RC] [RC] saddle pads/blankets - Kristi Schaaf

I've got a question...I have a western style endurance
saddle on order from Dave Genadek
(www.aboutthehorse.com). He recommends a plain ol'
navajo blanket for his saddles if they fit perfectly
(he uses a felt pad w/shims if necessary to fine-tune
a fit). The tree fits my horse like a glove so no
shimming is needed. Does anyone out there use a plain
navajo blanket for distance riding? I'm a little
worried about the wrinkles/creases it seems they can
get in them. Is that a hypothetical worry or a
possible true problem? Any other suggestions for a
VERY thin very light very breathable natural fiber
blanket/pad? Kristi iluvdez at yahoo dot com

Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off)
