Do be aware that deciding on a price and paying can result in liability and transportation law issues.  WI (I don't know about any other state.) law says that when you accept even fuel costs you automatically become a "livestock hauler" and thus must have a state license.
 
I always told people that I would haul their horse for free, but if they gave me a "gift" after we got done I surely would not refuse. It was similar when I sold a horse.  If they wanted we would agree to a sale price delivered to their place, but I could not charge them for hauling their horse from my place to their place.
