I'm open to suggestions as to how to get my horse to eat beet pulp. ? ?

My mare refused to eat BP the year I did LD on her (she hated the sport, so I
got another horse). Now she loves it and tries to steal it from the other
horses at home. Go figure. But to introduce your horse to it, try soaking
just a handful and adding it to his food. Gradually increase the amount you
give him as he gets used to it. Or, you can just do what a friend of mine
did...her mare wouldn't not eat BP. Then we did a 50 together last fall, and
at the first hold, my horse ate some of his BP, but *really* wanted her mare's
alfalfa. And her mare thought that my horse's BP/Strategy slurry was the best
thing since carrots. So we let 'em swap, and her mare has been happily
slurping down BP ever since. <G>
