[RC] Heart Murmur - Ridecamp Guest

Please Reply to: Lauretta tikitiki69@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
==========================================

The last ride I took entered, I was told that Shaba had a slight
heart murmur when we were doing our vet in. He has never had
one before, and the vet told me that it was common for horses
to sometimes have one when they get around age 16/17 (he is 16).
Has anyone come across this, and is there anything you can do
about it? Also, does this affect riding him at all? We
currently do 50s and I am working him up to 100s. Would this be
a reason to pull him ever? The vet said it is worth noting on
his vet card at the start, but would not necessarily be a pull
reason.  Thanks

Lauretta and Shaba (there is nothing about me that is a murmur.
Anything I do is heard LOUD and CLEAR....will this mean I have to
cut back on the Hostess Fruit Pies?>??)
