[RC] Gaiters for Terrains, or modifying your half chaps, replacement of zippers - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I had my full grain leather Ariat half chaps modified to fit my Terrains.

There is a man here in Huntsville who can practically do anything
with leather. It is a small shoe shop across town.

They are kinda like bikers dudes, and boy do they do a GREAT job. And they are
really nice too. (Kinda cute too, oops that is not endurance related)

He modified mine by making mine bigger with a strip of matching black leather,
and also adding a leather piece where the heel is so the half chap won't hang
up on my boot (the half chap originally was too short in the back so he made it
longer), and no mud gets up the back of my leg. If you usually wear spurs, it
won't work because the leather gaiter - if that is whatcha callit - is too
long. BUT I bet he could fix that somehow. Just ask. My gaiter really works
well. I had no idea somebody could work that kind of magic with a leather half
chap.

Heck I have tried to sell those darn things because they just didn't fit with
my terrain. I sent those half chaps clear to CA for Beth to try, too big for
her skinny bird leg. Whereas a local shoe shop here could fix them, and for
not much money!

This guy can replace ANY zipper on just about anything. I was totally
impressed with the quality of work.

Those guys just know how to work with leather.

Find a good leather repair shop. Customize your half chaps. Or come here to
HuntsPatch, and get'em fixed right!
