[RC] Lynne & complaints - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Voodoo rides2much@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I was at the Bar H Boogie a couple of months ago. I rode the heat & had no problem with the water situation. I am not one of the people that filled out a ride evaluation form. But before you guys slam all of the complainers you might consider that you dont have all the facts. Some things are worth complaining about. Like poorly marked trail. But that is not the reason I had already decided I would not attend another Lynne ride. My biggest complaint was I didnt want to hear Lynne whining & complaining. She complained about people tracking dirt into her house. She SCREAMED at people who "almost" let her cat out of the house. She whined about people leaving trash around. Lynne complained about the riders & made nasty comments about how they handled their horses & the stressful conditions. Lynne lives on a dirt lot. If you dont want people tracking dirt into your house, have the ride camp office somewhere else. If you dont want your cats let out, lock them in another part of your house or move the ride camp office. This is common sense. Now I agree that it is uncool to leave your trash on the ground at the ride meeting/dinner, but there was NO TRASH CAN around. I packed my trash back to my trailer. Apparently there was at "trash trailer" but it was unmarked. I had no idea what it was until just before I left. I'm sure other people had no idea where the trash was to be put either. Lynne complained about other riders. She went on & on. I know she had a hard time the first day with all the urgent cases, but I know some of the others in the group were newbies & frankly I dont think she should be venting to someone she hardly knows. It's just not nice to fume about people in public. So why do I think it is okay to talk about Lynne's shortcommings in this forum? Because Lynne brought it to the internet herself, & what I have said is my OWN knowledge. Not heresay. Not generic warm & fuzzy or flaming. NO, I have never managed a ride Yes, I have volunteered Yes, I am sure it is hard work to manage a ride NO, I dont believe it is a thankless job. Many people thanked her (including me) Nope, you wont see me at Bar H Boogie or Norco... if they ever happen again. ===========================================================If people would just think of the hoof as the foundation for the horse like a house foundation. when your horse plants his foot down in the ground and pushes forward if the foot isn't 100% balanced your chances of injury go up. ~ Paula Blair ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ===========================================================
