Re: [RC] Great Time at Hopkins Creek - Kari Hanes

Maggie, Jeanie and all:

Thanks for the encouragement! All of the people I have met in this sport have been so supportive, helpful and eager to give me advice when needed.

Unfortunately I won't be able to compete again until the Wolverine, August 1. My husband just started playing in a new band and has several commitments that fall on ride weekends. And my daughter has a couple open shows she wants to do.

So what do I do for a conditioning program for the next 40 days? Keep up at a steady pace or let her have a few weeks of easy rides before pumping the miles up again in early/mid July?

TIA

Kari,
You will remember them all but it will amaze you how many more of "one of the best" you will have!  :)  There's always a new level of "best".  :)  Your getting started woes remind me of our early and ongoing stops and starts (with the vehicle, the trailer, the whatever you name it and it'll trip us up).
We are so glad to see you getting out there and doing it.  That 50 you plan to do will give you a high like no other.  And then someday when you do a 100, you'll think 50s were baby rides.  :)  Right now with my stupid leg, the 25 I did felt like 50!!!  :)
See you at AHAM!!!  :)
