Re: [RC] Others riding out of control. Advice sought. - patty bass

it just occurred to me that you might want to be sure that the barn manager realizes she will be the one in court if a lawsuit happens. in my opinion what you have described is negligence on the managers  part if  she knnowingly let the  girls be in that arena while a lesson was taking  place and galloping back to the gate.  yea the  horses belong to the girls but are  they endangering others? i agree  that for your  peace of mind you have to say something to the  parents. it may of  course fall on deaf ears but  you then have taken action. as we all know usually smart ass remarks arent made  in front of the  parents.

Definitely, tell the parents.  They may be horrible but then again they may not.  Be sure to tell them in detail what has happened and tell them that more than one person has noticed and complained.  These parents are going to be the ones either sued by someone or burying a daughter.  Let them know!!!  I have a teenage daughter and if she was doing anything like this I would REALLY WANT TO KNOW!!!  Do what you can.  You could be saving a life here.  Not to mention saving the horses.  If nothing is done contact the humane society.  You can even do it without using your name if you want.
