Re: [RC] Wintec Endurance Saddle - David & Maggie

I have an old Wintec Endurance. I like it. It is a bit long, but it is
probably a 19" seat or so. The only problem I have ever had with it is when
little kids ride it with their stirrups too short. That puts them too far
back in the saddle and we wind up with a sorebacked horse.

A friend just got a Wintec Aussie with Cair and changeable gullet. It seems
to fit anything, but it really puts your feet out in front of you. My friend
looked like he had his feet 'on the dashboard' and after a 20mi CTR, the
mare's back was so sore that her pulse wouldn't recover. He just couldn't
get off her back when we were walking. Trotting was ok, because he was up in
two-point, spreading his weight more evenly.
