Re: [RC] Feeding Beet Pulp to Weanlings - Maggie Mieske

Does the weanling get hay?  Beet pulp is a forage, much like hay, less energy than grain but more energy than hay.  I feed it to horses of ALL ages.  Never had a problem.

Subject: [RC] Feeding Beet Pulp to Weanlings

Seems to me I read on one of the beet pulp threads that feeding beet pulp to young horses was not a good thing.  I can not find the thread.  Does anyone remember reading that thread? If so could you please email the information to me.  I have a friend that has begun feeding beet pulp to her weanling. If it isn't a good idea I would like to give her the information.  Thanks
