[RC] Tarsal question for vets - CatLyn1388

Could someone please explain to me what the following means:
There is a minor degree of subchondral sclerosis of the dorsoproximal central tarsal bone (left rear leg). There is no evidence of subchondral lucency or periarticular productive changes.

The horse has a noticeable gait difference when it walks. I drove 6 1/2 hrs (one way) to buy this horse, advertised by "lawyers" as being sound.  I was very frustrated when I left, without a horse. Thanks, Lynda
