OK, I looked over the rest of the article again and it's according to how you qualify your ride as to who holds the records. Apparently George Beck and 3 friends rode 20,352 miles in a non-stop 3 year journey to the capitals of all the lower 48 states. One horse "Pinto" a Morab (don't ask me how he was a Pinto) gelding made the whole trip. The photo in the book has Beck on him (good looking horse).
