Merryben, would you be disappointed if I told you that in 24 years of 
competition I have never been to a ride where *anyone* had to open a gate? >g< 
Can't say that I use them to trot out my horse either, but when you train with 
them at home too juniors are handy because they get out of school when I do 
instead of at 5 PM like all the grown ups. :-)
