[RC] Death Valley Warmup I & II, PS Region - KarenI keep getting a lot of questions about the ride Death Valley Warmup ride. It is on December 12 & 13, 2009 in the PS region in California and is a 25/50 each day. Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions. We've had some difficulty locating this ride (as in, it's not going to be what was originally planned), so I need to make sure everybody knows this info:1) YES, the ride IS ON! (and there are enough entries, so it should not be cancelled) 2) There is plenty of room in camp for very large rigs. 3) The ride is at Coso Junction, behind the store. Same camp as the Coso Junction ride had. Approx. 35 miles north of Ridgecrest on Hwy 395. 4) The trail will be moderate in difficulty with varied footing including rocks and sand. I found photos from the last Coso Junction Jam ride. The trail will be essentially the same as we are working with BLM to use the same maps. Click here to see the photos from 2003. 5) The entry fee for both distances (25 or 50) is $95.00 per day. 6) You don't need to pre-pay. Come ride, then pay before you go home. 7) Please do pre-enter so we know how many are coming. 8) Please also let us know if you can't make it. Entering online is easy.
