So what is supposed to be a learning experience would have that taken away, by extending the time or taking away time limits altogether. Sad. We had a first-time LD rider arrive very late at the vet check at Mountain Mettle. Although part of her lateness was from missing a turn. We told her at the vet check that she had no chance of finishing on time, but that she could still ride the rest of the trail back to camp just for the experience. She decided to do that.
