RE: [RC] Mountain Lions - Bob Morris

Common practice here in Southwest Idaho is to carry a can of tuna fish at all times. When you encounter a cat you quickly throw the can of tuna in the cat’s direction. While he is attempting to open the can, you can escape.

 

Must work as I have not heard of any one being et by a cougar around here.

I saw a cartoon in a newspaper many years ago that showed a hiker meeting a mountain lion on the side of a narrow mountain trail. The hiker was standing there holding a small log above his head thinking "If I make myself look big, he'll go away." The mountain lion was shown thinking "Wow! That's enough for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner!!"
