Re: [RC] Folsom lake accident - rides2far@xxxxxxxx

With enough documentation and backup reports those directors can issue
proclammations that their staff's are too small to handle the degree and
amount of calls. :) Maybe, if anything, we can create more jobs on the
State and Federal level to man our park systems.

They make a motion activated wildlife camera that can be aimed at a trail and
would take a short video of anyone who passes by. Hunters set them up on salt
licks, etc. They must be affordable and weather proof. Someone should consider
installing a few.

Hi Kathy,

Unfortunately, the latency of calling vs apprehending is too great for it to make a difference.  The difference being would be to follow up your report call with a call into the state agency director that controls and mandates the area that you are reporting.  With enough documentation and backup reports those directors can issue  proclammations that their staff's are too small to handle the degree and amount of calls.  :)  Maybe, if anything, we can create more jobs on the State and Federal level to man our park systems.

Until such a possibility can happen.  I believe it is wise, if not, prudent to have some kind of protection out there!  Especially since the Folsom Lake incident was one of clear intent to case harm!

I'll be riding  at Folsom Lake  every week now as I'm starting to condition for 2009 rides so I got the  tel. number to report illegal use of the trails. Put it in your cell phone and when you see the motorcyclists  and 4 wheelers at the lake report them immediately. 916-358-1300.  Try to give an accurate description, the number of violaters and if you know, their access point. Don't confront them at all.
