[RC] Corral surfaces - Randy or Cheryl Winter

I would like some feedback on resurfacing our corral. In the past we have
always used roadbase so the corral doesn't get muddy. It gets very hard
though. This time we are thinking about using "squeegee" which is made of
small loose pebbles that won't pack down and will allow drainage. I am
worried about how long it will last, picking it up on the bottom of the
manure that gets picked up everyday. Has anybody used "squeegee" or have
any feedback on what works well for a corral surface?
