LOL !   Since I live alone, I don't have that problem, but my machine is an agitator type, so not the best for blankets.  I've had a wool pad disintegrate in it...  I have to sneak into the local laundromat if I want to wash my heavy blankets.  :)  Next big item on my "to buy" list is a front loading, extra-large capacity washing machine.   :)
