RE: [RC] 7 Times? - Paul

Yep, 7 times leaving camp in a 100 mile ride is now about the norm.  Heck, Tevis has 8 vet checks, although 6 are gate and goes.

Most 100 mile rides have 4 hours of holds. There is usually at least one hold of an hour and several in the 30 minute range.  Most rides with repeat loops have you leaving camp 6 or 7 times. ZZzzz. Usually you repeat the last loop two or three times in a row. Also many trails "share" common trail for part of the different loops.

I too much prefer point to point 100's. At this time, I have no plans to do  any more loop 100's, but plan a couple of point to points this year.  But hey, plans change.
