Every supplier I contacted last week said the same thing. $249 to $300 a ton plus the retriever to off load the hay (usually runs $350.00). Oh, and the best part of the conversation was, "IF I can find you hay!"
Isn't the SPORT grand? Well, it's a relative isn't it? If the rewards out weigh the cost. And I guess that is what the message really is. If you enjoy the sport, regardless of the ever increasing costs, one does what one can to support the sport - in general.
