Re: [RC] Looking for a kid safe endurance prospect - Chris A

When I get calls like that from people looking for a bargain basement horse for the kid, I ask them, "how much is your child's life worth?"

Amen Diane,

I had the same reaction, BUT, I get calls nearly every day from people wanting to know if the rescue has any horses with all the traits listed.  Before I can respond, they say something like "I cannot afford to pay much for the horse".  So I just chalked it up to another novice request.  Just makes me CRAZY!

Personally, I own one of these myself, a wonderful, gentle, "take care of you" horse and I have said, on more than one occasion, that he could not be bought for $25,000.
