[RC] Clipping the endurance horse - Beth Leggieri

Great new thread.

Discussion please about clipping, by region preferably.  Maybe some links to pictures of clips?  Or links to articles about clipping?  Suggestions?  Pros?  Cons?

My first question:  We do not blanket.  We do not stall.  Our horses already look like bears from cold nights, yet yesterday was t-shirt riding weather.  In cases like these, is it best not to clip at all?

Thanks!

Subject: [RC] clipping and blanketing for the winter

I am considering doing a clip on my horse that is a little more than a trace clip.  Their necks get so sweaty even with a trace clip.  I am considering clipping all the way up to the mane, but with a blanket that does not cover their neck, would that be too cold for them?
