RE: [RC] buying hay--a cautionary tale - SHEILA A WALSHThe hay guy I bought from up here in Northern Arizona told me that he didn't think the winter prices were going to go up because many farmers that had sold their hay fields to developers got their fields back and grew hay and there should be a "glut" for winter. I wonder if I should believe that?I am very cautious about buying hay, too, but you can't win them all, especially if you weren't able to weigh the load. I might have been hesitant, when they switched to per bale pricing. Don't burn anything down. Just go for a ride and know that kharma is working. As Winston Churchill said, "No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle." As Shakespear wrote in Henry V, "When I bestride him, I soar, I am like a hawk; he trots the air, the Earth sings, when he touches it; the basest horn of his hoof is more musical that the pipe of Hermes."
