[RC] Winter Feeding - Jannelle Wilde & Adam Falk

We feed about 225 lbs of hay a day to 15 horses, non in hard training right now.  Once we start training, we feed a mash, as well.  We have no grass until spring.

We buy 50 tons of hay a year in square bales that are about 75lb each.  We’ve paid $100/ton delivered (but not stacked) when it is harvested in June or so for the last two years.  Up from $85 for the three years before.
