[RC] Treeless? - sherman

I’d crupper train your horse anyway. You never know when that type of desensitization might come in handy. Paloma made it clear early on that she didn’t really like the crupper, but she will tolerate it and behave with it anyway. It’s worth trying that before investing in saddles that may or may not work, right?

I have a mare that I have had a lot of trouble with saddle fit. I have a
Specialized saddle for my gelding and I just absolutely LOVE it but I cannot
get it to fit my mare. She is very broad, flat backed with no withers to
speak of. They're actually flat, the lady that works on my horse's backs has
told me she thinks she went over backwards onto a hard surface at some point
and actually crushed the vertebrae. The problem I have is my Specialized
will ride up onto her neck when she gets to moving. This mare is overly
sensitive and I don't think she will tolerate a crupper to alleviate the
problem. Would a treeless saddle possible help with this problem? I have no
problem paying good $$ if the product and result are worth it. I tried a
Barefoot treeless at one point and while it was a nice saddle I felt very
off balance and "slidey" on it. I hope that makes sense.
