[RC] Big Ride Training - k s swigart

I didn't read the article but my only concern would be the
"when" you did the 90 miles before the 100. Personally
for me, three weeks is a little to close. I would try to
space my hardest week before a 100 between 4 and
6 weeks.

The article suggested eight weeks.

For me, if there is a problem with the conditioning program laid out in
the article is not so much what she is suggesting how you should
condition, but that it DOES come across as it being the only way to
condition.

This is the language she uses:

"You should...." (consistently ride every other day).
"It is essential..." (to include one slow five- to six-hour ride each
week
and
"Make sure..." (to get a 90-mile training week in 8 weeks before) and
(six weeks before, one 50 mile comeptition or fun ride).

This is not language that suggests there are other ways to achieve the
same thing.
