[RC] Entries at rides - Michael Maul

In response to:"I go to a ride to ride, not eat, so my ride will be one where I keep entry fees as low as possible and focus on trail and vets. I would happily opt out of all ride meals in exchange for gas money."

I'm a little different on this one too. While I certainly go to rides to ride - I also go to meet people and socialize. Getting together for dinner is a nice way to do this. With all the amenities in our big LQ trailers - I think too many people go back to their trailers and tend not to socialize much.

Although it's before my time, I've been told that when most riders came to rides with 2 horse BP trailers - there was a lot more interaction because there was not much to do at your trailer.

Also on my own - I usually eat ravioli out of a can. I eat a lot better when the ride has meals...:-)

Mike
