[RC] beet pulp question - Kathie Ford

Hi everybody, hope everyone is well.

Quick question. Where I live there seems to be a shortage of beet pulp. I couldn't find anyone who had beet pulp w/o added molassas (which I prefer) or the other except one place. I found only two bags of regular beet pulp shreds at the last place I called.

My question is since I could only find what was left of beet pulp, and it having added molassas in it..is there a way I can take most of the sugar out of it once soaked? Can I pour off the "juice" of it? Would that work?

I like beet pulp but really don't like the added molassas type. That was all I could find of any type of beet pulp. Shortage until April I've heard.

I live in the Auburn area.

Any ideas welcome and appreciated.

cheers,
kathie
