[RC] Weight challenges - The Coles

Just reviewing all the comments about weight classes. It seems to me that
the only way to be "fair" would be to incorporate the weight of the horse
into the weight of rider and tack. In Horse Pulling they weigh the horses
and thus place them into the appropriate categories. Now, I'm not suggesting
that managers get sets of weigh scales! Not to mention the dehydration
abuses that occur in order for a team to squeak into a lower weight class.

Perhaps a weight tape of the horse + adding the weight of rider/tack =
weight division. This would truly give a heavy rider on a smallish horse the
same weight competition as a lighter rider on a slightly bigger horse....

Just the musings of a heavyweight rider who likes to ride a bigger horse....
