[RC] President's Cup and RACES - Steve Shaw

High level FEI events are long distance RACES. As I understand it, it is to get the best performance from your horse on that particular day. Not just to finish. So they are pushing their horses to the limits. AND the vets are being overly cautious to try and protect the horse. Those two things lead to low completion rates at any distance. And will continue.

I think that the only pundits that should comment on this subject, that I want to hear, are those who are actually riding these events.....
