RE: [RC] Riding double at a ride - TypeF \(Jackie Floyd\)

"Interestingly enough, this means that rides COULD (and still be in
compliance with the rules) have a second rider (or their dog for that
matter) be part of their "total rider weight" but have that self-ambulatory
thing go along on the ground along side for pretty much the entire ride."

Someone once told me that his kids had all done endurance rides with him (on
their respective horse, of course), but one was not a horse person. This
particular son needed money and his dad said if he would "pony up" and do an
endurance ride with him the following weekend, he'd give him the $500. It
was many, many years ago so that was a lotta money. The son agreed and
jogged the whole way with the horse by his side. The father never thought to
say he had to RIDE the horse, and since he finished the entire ride, he got
the money.
