While for most people at a ride, this would be true, it would not be for those being judged for BC, or if the ride gives out an award for the best vet scores regardless of placing. In those cases, getting a vet that grades "hard" on some criteria could cost you the BC, especially if your nearest competitor got a different vet.

It certainly isn't important from ride to ride, but consistency WITHIN a given ride on a given day between vets would be, IMO important for those trying for BC.
