Actually, my personal concern with molasses in beet pulp isn't so much metabolics as it is behavior. I don't want a hyper horse (he can get hyper enough all on his own - he doesn't need any help from a sugar high.

The whole idea behind my feeding beet pulp is to give him calories without the high that grain can give (plus the metabolic problems that are sometimes associated with grain). Using molasses in the beet pulp kind of defeats the purpose.
